Welcome To There Is Hope

Our Mission

Our core mission is to prepare people to meet the soon coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. We believe this preparation best begins with understanding our spiritual condition, which paves the way for us to appreciate Jesus, the Lamb of God, who alone takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29).

About The Ministry

Hello, my name is Geoffrey Furaha, an evangelist from the Seventh-day Adventist Church and the humble host and steward of There Is Hope Ministry. Furaha in Swahili means “joy,” and a reflection of my joy is that I love helping people know God as a friend. Come be part of our Pick-Me-Up Zoom Bible Study. If you would like to join, feel free to send your request. Also, revisit regularly to read my devotional messages in the blog section.

Future Plans

There Is Hope is an aspiring ministry attempting much because it expects much. In the future, we aim to launch an online program called School Of The North Wind. This course will prepare students to become soul winners. Participants can expect to become familiar with the Bible and grounded in Seventh-day Adventist beliefs. The lessons will be simple, engaging, and in-depth. If you would like to join, you are warmly welcome to express your interest for future updates.

Why Does The Ministry Exist

The sole drive of There Is Hope is to give the loud cry of the near return of Jesus Christ. In the message to the ancient city of Laodicea, located in Turkey, Jesus spoke words that are still applicable to us today: “…wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked” (Revelation 3:17).

Ellen G. White commented, “The only hope for the Laodiceans is a clear view of their standing before God, a knowledge of the nature of their disease. They are neither cold nor hot; they occupy a neutral position, and at the same time flatter themselves that they are in need of nothing” (Testimonies, vol. 4, p. 87).

Therefore, our greatest mission is to awaken souls to their spiritual condition and point them to Jesus, who is in the Most Holy Place, interceding on our behalf before the Father.

About The Logo

The ministry logo depicts a tree planted by the river, inspired by Job 14:7: “There is hope if a tree be cut down, that it will sprout up again.” The blue river represents Christ, who quenches every thirsty soul and renews strength in the weak.

Connected to this is Psalm 1:1–3, which pronounces a blessing upon anyone “who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful, but whose delight is in the law of God.” Such a person “will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,” bringing forth fruit in due season.

In the Gospel of Matthew 7:16, Jesus said, “By their fruits you shall know them,” referring to character. Like the tree in Psalm 1, we desire to be the planting of God, bringing forth the fruits of the Holy Spirit, so that our lives may be a witness that leads others to Christ.
